Resin incense doesn’t burn on its own — it’s meant to be slowly heated atop charcoal to release its full aroma and energy. Here's one safe and simple method:

Sand or small rocks (recommended to absorb heat)
Metal tongs (recommended)
A metal spoon
Steps:
Place sand or rocks in your burner (¾ full), then set it on a heatproof surface like a ceramic tile.
Light a charcoal tablet using tongs and carefully place it on the sand or mesh screen. Let it ash over for 5–15 minutes.
Sprinkle a small amount of the incense blend on top using a spoon. The fragrant smoke will begin to rise. Add more as desired.
Let the charcoal cool completely before discarding. When in doubt, dowse it with water.
